When looking at the blue trimmed screen,
my eyes began to gleam.
A filter here and filter there
to calm my self esteem.

Through thirty three I searched each page,
and angst ran down the side.
But romance fluttered on and on,
and reached the purple guide.

An audience of one would do,
my hand did click the mouse.
And silence rang when tears restrained,
old habits in the house.

This one was short and seemed to scream,
"Live long, forever sweet!"
For with it came replies of joy
and blushes with no heat.

A silver sword will surely rest
among the yellow field.
When ending never stops its course,
beginnings never yield.

Author's Comments

This poem, I think, says a lot of things about me. The title, "Clorith Days" refers to a type of fanfiction I like to read every once in a while. For those who can't guess, it's Cloud and Aerith from Final Fantasy VII.

I simply wanted to try a first person poem explaining my thoughts and feelings when I read Cloud and Aerith fanfictions. There is quite a bit of symbolism in this poem, and for those who actually go on fanfiction.net, see if you can point some out. But if you can't and REALLY want to know, just comment or note me. However, real poetry can be read and interpreted differently by everyone.

I was actually so proud of this poem that I actually read it out loud to some of my friends, something I HARDLY EVER do simply because I can be a very insecure person with my writing.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Comment if you want!
