So...school has been out for me for about three days now, and I am officially a Senior!

A lot has happened since I got out of school, and a lot is STILL going to happen...probably until around June 6th or 7th. Starting tomorrow I'm to stay at meh bestest friend Lacey's house for a week because my grandparents are going out of town (and my mom and sister are being....well...bleh right now). Then, the next week after that I'm going on a church mission trip to Denver, Colorado. Those usually last a whole week. And on top of that, the week before I go on my trip I have Drivers Ed in the mornings this Tuesday through Friday.

But, on the brighter side of all those happenings....I am just so damn excited for 358/2 Days, the new Kingdom Hearts game. It's coming out MAY 31ST! That's a fucking whole day before I have to leave (but it's too fucking bad that I can't bring it along, since my youth leader won't allow portable video games on the trip *sigh*).

This weekend has been nonstop this and that. It's memorial day weekend and since my I'm (a little regretfully) a junior auxillary member for the American Legion, I had to go to a bloody Dillons and hand out poppy's and ask for donations. it was SO not an ideal way to spend my Saturday OR Sunday afternoons. I mean, I do want to help the veterans...but it was summer and I get really hyper! It was nuts just standing there for two hours saying the same damn thing over and over...and watching people with their big wallets full of money say "Oh I don't have any change, but thanks!" Load of bullshit, that's what I have to say!

Anyway, in other fandom news, I've gotten into new stuff. Like, in Final Fantasy I'm offically a Sephiroth fan (not FANGIRL, there's a difference). Blame Tony for bringing me into these shinanigans. Seriously, I love his hair. My hair used to be that length. In fact, it used to be a little LONGER than that length. I wish my hair was as pretty as his though, so I didn't have to cut it in embarressment for my nasty split ends, frizziness, and oily scalp. Plus, my grandmother ALWAYS made me put it up in the same old half up half down hair style. That was ALL she let me do with it! I was finally (during I think last year or so) said "To hell with this shit!" and I cut it, donating it to a good cause.

O_o...wow...I don't know how the hell a ramble about Sephie turned into a ramble about how I cut my hair. Ahh...the brain of an ADD poet. Gotta love us!

Anyway, back to Sephie. I recently read a story about him with an OC (because I was so damn curious! and plus...come on...it's Sephie....and an OC!) I wanted to see how badly they screwed it up. I know I have little faith in writing when it comes to OC's...but seriously, when you see them as often as I do...and see them all done very poorly and ridiculous....you start to lose faith in that troubled OC. This OC (who shall remain nameless) had an interesting name. I gave the author props for that because the name wasn't something stupid like Emily (no offense to anyone named Emily...it's just that the name doesn't quite fit with Japanese created characers). The author also didn't bore us to death with countless description of the OC. I didn't learn her hair color till the 6th chapter or so. The author also didn't rush the supposed romance in it. It was amazing that she waited until chapter 50 to have an actual kiss (yes I did just write kiss) happen.

There were, as usual, some major downsides I saw with the story. In the beginning I liked how she played Sephiroth. He was how I would imagine him to be portrayed (all unemotional and uncaring and 'you shall die' type of person). I was NOT expecting his appearance in the story so early though (according to how the plot was set up). I did understand that the flashbacks that the author put in about every other chapter had to do with Sephie before he went psycho on us all (being all 'kill the planet! rawr!'. But the ending highly disappointed me. It was a total fucking recap of Cloud and Aerith...i will not elaborate further because it's just too....*shudders*.

Some of the traits of the OC kind of pissed me off too. Like...I know the whole thing about making your OC have a flaw and all that...but when they go past the point of having "too MUCH of a flaw" then in becomes mary sueish also. Like....it was almost every other fucking chapter that the OC was falling over something, or bleeding to death, or being all "I'm so fragile omg Sephie save meh!" No....just.....no. I got so annoyed with the OC near the end I couldn't wait for her to just die! For Sephie to be all like "You know what, ho...Imma NOT gonna save you this time..."
